Scope and Content Note:

The records consist of a daybook documenting the daily transactions of an unknown Fairfield, New Jersey distiller.  The volume dates from 1818-1819 and tracks the sale of spirits, cider, gin, and other liquor.  Among the men listed as customers are: William Ryerson, Peter J. Van Ness, Jacob Brown, and John A. Vreeland.
