Summary:

Copies of:  (1) Alexander C. McWhorter's Fourth of July Oration, delivered at the First Presbyterian Church of Newark in 1794;  (2) Edward Dorr Griffin's sermon at the funeral of Reverend Alexander Macwhorter (1734-1807) on July 22, 1807;  (3) John McDowell's "Farewell Sermon," preached at the First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth on May 12, 1833;  (4) children's circulating library catalog;  (5) Fourth of July orations;  (6) patriotic poems.  Despite the differences in spelling of the surname, Alexander C. McWhorter was the son of Reverend Alexander Macwhorter.
