Cornelius Vanderbeek (fl. 1833-1847) was a justice of the peace in Allentown, Monmouth County, New Jersey.

Scope and Content Note:

This docket, dating from 1833 to 1839, was kept by Cornelius Vanderbeek as justice of the peace in Allentown, Monmouth County, New Jersey.  The book measures 0.01 linear feet and contains records of the cases Vanderbeek heard.  Most of the cases listed are small claims for which Vanderbeek recorded the dates, defendant, plaintiff, and sentence.  Also included is a list of marriages from 1828-1847 for which Vanderbeek officiated.
