           Papers, 1870-1964. 70 items.

         Legal documents and genealogical data relating to Horace J.

      Hoffman, his wife Dora, and other members of the family; letters

      wrltten from various family members to Helen M. Wright, the

      genealogist responsible for collecting this material. Horace J.

      Hoffman served in the l0th Wisconsin Infantry Regiment during

      the Civil War. In 1896 he and his family moved to Jersey City,

      where he established a metal fixture shop and a printing office.

         Gift of Helen M. Wright, 1969.
