Summary:

Chiefly diaries and account books.  Congleton worked for a Newark dealer in stoves and heaters in the 1870s and as a salesman for a grocery firm in the 1880s.  He regularly attended Newark's Second Presbyterian Church and devoted much of his time to lay missionary work among prison inmates and factory workers.  Inventory available.
