The 38th Regiment of the New Jersey Volunteers was organized at Trenton and mustered in by Companies. Led by Captain Henry S. Spaulding, Company "C" was mustered September 10, 1864 and left the state on September 20, 1864.
The collection consists of a provisions document, which lists the type and quantity of supplies distributed to members of Company "C" in the 38th Regiment of the New Jersey Volunteers.
