Historical Note:
This collection contains materials about the Perth Amboy Dry Dock Company, which was in existence in the 1880s and beyond. According to Perth Amboy town records, the Dry Dock serviced tugboats, barges and naval vessels. However, there are no complete records of the business that the Dry Dock Company did beyond that. The company exists today under the name the Tri-State Ship Repair and Drydock Company.

Scope and Content Note
This collection contains material and business records from the Perth Amboy Dry Dock Company. This collection includes an account book documenting stock transfers, two account books of stock certificates and incorporation certificates. In addition to this official business related documents, this collection also contains an oversized photograph of the plant, a blueprint map of the Riparian Lands in Perth Amboy and copies of correspondence from the Dry Docks.
