 In addition to promising a ride that was "safer, smoother," and quicker, this brochure touts the Turnpike's connections with other roadways. Unlike the highways most motorists were accustomed to, it notes that "Once on the Turnpike and its extensions, travel is non-stop—without interruption for toll collecting purposes."
