Like most other Garden State-made cars, the Simplex (New Brunswick) was a luxury model. Along with makes like Walter (Trenton), Phianna (Newark), and Crane (Bayonne), the Simplex cost between $5,000 and $15,000 at a time when the Ford Model T cost less than $500.
